What Your Sponsorship Provides

Twenty-five dollars ($25) per month will provide for an orphaned child’s education, food, clothing, medical care and adult supervision.  You have likely viewed with skepticism advertisements on TV saying that for a small amount each month you could help a child.  It is in fact true that a child can be cared for at an incredibly low cost in many foreign countries.  We know what the cost to educate children are because the Village has run a school with 300 children for over a year.  We’re pretty comfortable with estimating the cost of food (rice at $25US per 110 lb bag is the principal component).  Due to extremely low labor costs ($20 per week in many cases) you can afford to have the staff necessary to care for these children.  Much of their clothing comes from U.S. donations and few children have more than a couple of sets of clothes.  Most of these children have had little or no medical care and the amount shown below provides quite a bit.

For $300 per year you can make it possible for a child with no parents to obtain a Christian education, be feed and clothed, cared for by Bible believing adults and provided with basic medical care.

Certainly you could participate in this program due to guilt or even a feeling of obligation.  Much better is the joy that comes from knowing you are making a difference is a child’s life both for his or her physical and spiritual wellbeing.  You will not receive a picture of a specific child that you support nor a hand written letter.  You will receive a monthly newsletter describing the work of the Children’s Village which will include reports on the children being served.
