Loading the truck for the trip to Karmo’s Town

Carrying 110 lb. sacks of rice with a baby on your back.  Now that’s a hard working woman.

One of six tire changes within a 50 mile segment.  Without proper tools it was very difficult.

Another tire change.  The hand pump had no end, an old tube was the patch and rebar the tire tool.

The last 40 miles was on the rim.  The nearest place to purchase a tire is back in Monrovia.
