We are there!

Christian relaxes in the bedroom after some sleep.  Bottled water is life for soft Americans.

Philomena cooks breakfast, a bread made from flour, sugar and water that is deep fried in oil.

Palm nuts being cooked.  Many foods are derived from palm nuts including red oil and palm butter.

Spice brings some taste to a fairly bland diet of white rice and cassava.  They grow their own peppers.

A life of cooking and washing for the ladies.  They were kind to keep us in clean clothes.

 

There are few modern conveniences in Liberia but everything gets done with no complaining.

 

Whether you hang them up or place them on the ground, it doesn’t take long for clothes to dry here.

It rained several times during the trip which always cooled things down and made it easier to sleep.

The round house was new since my last visit and served as a convenient place for meetings.
